Extremely unprofessional. Proceed with caution.
I worked with the founder of Common Ground Mediation on a website project in 2025. After delivering the work, he stopped responding to emails, ignoring my invoices. I had to chase payment for weeks, during which I experienced significant stress, financial strain, and a series of hostile, unprofessional messages from the Founder—including being called “a dog chasing scraps” for requesting payment owed.
I was only paid in full after I made it clear I would pursue legal action.
During this time, I was also sent Zoom recordings from client sessions containing highly sensitive personal and financial information. This raises serious concerns about confidentiality and professional conduct by the founder of Common Ground.
I also want to note that during our working relationship, I raised concerns about the potential impact of all his negative reviews on his business across Google and Yelp. In response, he told me he uses a third-party service to have bad reviews removed. I feel it is relevant for any potential clients to know his transparency.
More recently, while working with another Utah mediation client, I noticed strong similarities between the work and content I created for them - now being used by Common Ground, including overlapping concepts and messaging- literally word for word and taglines. I will let others draw their own conclusions from that.
This review reflects my personal experience. If you are looking for a mediation service grounded in professionalism, integrity, and respect, I recommend proceeding with caution.

Great place to go if you’re a female, if you’re a dad stay away from this place. I saw other reviews how they came across with a bias, but didn’t really believe that was the case. After the first meeting with them I could see it though and it continued throughout the mediation process.

Biased mediation. Poor customer service. Can't get necessary documents when they are needed.
Update, I didn't go into detail how poorly Dave Musselman did his job. I was hoping that he would correct himself and do the right thing, but he didn't.
When we were going through the negotiation, and I was trying to get a fair settlement, he came back and accused me of an outrageous act. I knew he or my soon to be x-wife was lying. No way to tell because they were on a private line. He tried to get me to sign the divorce papers with me getting nothing. I refused. Dave Musselman then used a stream of foul language that would make a sailor blush. It showed me that he was biased. So we had to continue our divorce elsewhere.
Before we started the negotiation process, we were asked to sign an agreement. The agreement stated that we both agreed not to say anything bad about the other person online, and that we would continue to pay our marriage arrangement bills. My soon to be x-wife was supposed to continue to pay the insurance on my car. She didn't. I found out few months later the hard way when I was in an accident. I called Dave Musselman to get a copy of this agreement to prove my case. Dave refused to give me the agreement because I gave him a 1 star review on Google. He told me to take it down else he wouldn't give me the agreement. This shows the other part of my original review of poor customer service, and not turning over paperwork in a timely fashion. I now wish that I could give him 0 stars.
If you want a fair divorce, avoid this company and Dave Musselman like you were avoiding the plague.
