I stepped in here one afternoon around noon, she stated they accept walk ins anytime, and can do any style. I started showing her kid hairstyles. They wanted to charge $150 , $200, $220 , and to me for a kid hairstyle that is just to much money. So I showed her an example picture (the 1st one) . The last pictures is how my daughter hair turned out. Instead of being rude (I picked her up at 7 something pm) I requested the money back on cash app. I did try requesting partial , but cash app wouldn’t let me.
I sent a text the following morning requesting partial. She calls and says because my daughter did not have a perm it did not turn out right. If you can do any style, a perm should not matter. My daughter hair has been way neater than this. Then she tried to call me broke 😂, I’m not paying $200 -$250 for a kid hair style. This one in the picture was $130, I should at least get $40-$50 back. The parts are not straight, and the hair is unprofessional added.

DO NOT GO HERE! 5 Inches of my hair cut off during a takedown service.
I am coming back to share my review again because of the extremely unprofessional response that was given to my review. Yes, I can prove that I did not cut my own hair before I came to your salon just to get a takedown for a crochet style. I came in with a full head of curly crochet hair. I have photos of what you did and you also refunded my money because you know what you did wrong. You did not ask me any questions about my install. You did not even examine my head before you started cutting. When I informed you that I had braids hanging down in the back, your response was “I CAN SEE BETTER THEN YOU”. Then proceeded to chop my hair off because you had another client and you were running back-and-forth from me to that other client. I have pictures if anybody wants to see them. I was being very, very kind to you in my last review and you are very lucky that I’m not taking you to court because it’s not worth the hassle- it is hair. It will grow back! The best thing you can do right now as a so called professional is simply admit your mistake and try to make it right.
My review: I recently visited Braid by Braid for a takedown of a crochet style , and I am beyond disappointed with the service I received. Instead of a careful and considerate approach, the stylist aggressively chopped off 5 inches of my hair without even examining my head or asking me questions about my install.
Despite me informing her about the braids hanging down in the back, she continued to cut without a care in the world. When I finally caught a glimpse of the aftermath in the bathroom mirror, I was horrified to discover that THREE of my braids had been cut off completely!
What made it worse was that she didn’t even acknowledge the mistake until I pointed it out, and even then, it felt like an afterthought. She apologized but only after initially denying it. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail and respect for clients' hair.
As someone who has referred Braid by Braid to my own mother and strives to support African businesses, this experience was a disappointing reminder of the subpar service we sometimes encounter. I expected better, and I hope this serves as a wake-up call for the salon to improve its standards. Very dissatisfied!
