Customer service is horrific! You can never speak to a person live and communication around orders is extremely confusing and completely unreliable. If you have a deadline and need something by a date I would highly recommend not relying on this company to deliver on time. Product delivery and completion experience has been horrible. Tuxedo shipped without any buttons for example and follow-on service to correct and deliver on time was unreliable. Otherwise great concept, good materials but experience completely ruined by poor execution. Probably would have spent a lot of $$ here but now looking for other options.

I ordered 8 shirts and 1 3-piece suit from Black Lapel over the course of a year. Initially, I was very impressed by the entire operation - the people, the service the quality of product. However, unfortunately there was no consistency with the shirts - 3 of them didn't fit. When I raised this to Concierge, they asked me to send photos of me wearing the shirts, which I duly did. On review of the photos with their 'expert tailors', they acknowledged that they 'may not have fully accounted for your shoulder angle'. They said they would make the adjustments and pay extra attention to my measurements going forward. As for the 3 shirts which didn't fit me, Black Lapel suggested I go to a local tailor to have the collars adjusted and offered me 40% off my next short as a small token of appreciation. The onus and loss was on me. With a fail rate of 3 in 8 shirts and such a poor response from Customer Service, I have no intention of using them again. That said, they may have made improvements in their business since this occurred last year.

Update 2: After 1 years, the pants have ripped on the back seam. At this point I can’t recommend this company at all. Terrible customer service and poor quality fabrics.
Update: One suit arrived with a poorly constructed fly area of the pant. Black Lapel admitted it was a manufacturing defect. However, they were completely out of the fabric and could not produce a new set of pants. I was bummed because I loved the fabric, but the remedy offered was even more disappointing: a paltry 25% off a new suit or I could try to find a tailor to fix it for reimbursement. My 4th suit may have been my last.
Best suits I’ve ever owned. I bought 3, and wear them daily. Every single day I get a compliment from someone on how good I look. These suits grab everyone’s attention. Can’t wait to get a few more.
