Wix Studio: CMS Limits on Free Sites

Free Wix Studio sites now allow you to use more Wix CMS (Content Management System) features until you upgrade to a Premium plan. After you upgrade, the limits of these features will depend on which Premium plan you pick.

For free sites, the updated and expanded CMS includes:

A: Yes, it does. The increased quota applies only to sites you own. If you have a different role, like co-owner, the new quotas won't apply.

Q: What if I upgrade to a Premium plan that includes higher CMS limits?

A: If you upgrade to a Premium plan with higher CMS limits than the new free site quota, you'll automatically get the limits of your new plan. Your new quota will include your existing features (like the number of items & collections).

For instance, if you have 1000 collection items on your free site and your new plan offers 10,000 items, you'll have 9000 items left.

Q: What if my Premium plan includes lower CMS limits than the new free site quota?

A: If you upgrade to a Premium plan with lower CMS limits than the new free plan, you'll get the limits of your new plan. Your existing collections or items won't be deleted, but you can't add more if they exceed the new quota.

For example, if your free site has 5000 collection items and you switch to a plan with 4000 items, your items exceed the new limit. To add more items, you'll need to delete some existing ones until you're under 4000 or upgrade to a plan with higher limits. We won't delete any items over the limit, but you can't add more until you address the excess.
